This is the story of Fred Rogers, the man behind Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. He was an iconic television host who entertained generations of children. With his simple set and a few sock puppets, Mr. Rogers went on to become one of the most important children's television hosts ever.

This is the best documentary I have seen in ages. It is a heartfelt valentine to the man who created Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and went on to entertain children for over 30 years. Fred Rogers was an ordained minister and his kindness and compassion for children shone throughout the film. He addressed touchy and sometimes controversial topics in a way that would not be scary to children. He was ahead of his time in many ways. He always felt that he could spread his message of love and compassion much better though television than from the pulpit. He was right. He was watched by generations of kids who came to love him and his silly puppets. He always said that all children are special and that they needed to be nurtured in order for each child to fulfill his or her unique purpose. He did this through love and kindness. Mr. Rogers was definitely an icon. If you grew up watching him, then you will thoroughly enjoy this film. Even if you never watched him on television, this is a fascinating peek behind the scenes of an iconic television show and behind the life of its creator. Take kleenex because this film will hit you in the "feels" more than once. Loved it!! Go see it!!
