Aidan Bloom (Zach Braff) and his wife Sarah (Kate Hudson) are facing some serious family issues. The kids, Grace (Joey King) and Tucker (Pierce Gagnon) attend a strict private Jewish school paid for by their grandfather Gabe (Mandy Patinkin). When his cancer returns, he needs his money for an experimental treatment and can no longer pay for their school. Aidan is an unemployed actor. He can't seem to land a part, so he decides to homeschool the kids while Sarah continues as the primary breadwinner. Meanwhile, Aidan's brother Noah (Josh Gad) can't face up to the fact that his father is dying and refuses to visit. The family must come together to help each other get through this crisis and start moving forward.

This is a family comedy/drama. It is funny and touching. The young kids are hilarious and the movie deals with issues that many families face.  There is a lot of tension but also a lot of love. Everything is handled with humor and in the end, family is all that matters. I really liked it. Go see it!
