This is a comedy that follows four flatmates as they go about their daily lives. The main reason this is funny is because these guys are vampires. The movie is done in a mockumentary format and is meant to be cheesy. Vladislav (Jermaine Clement), Viago (Taika Waititi), Deacon (Jonathan Brugh) and Petyr (Ben Fransham) are vampires of various ages, from 100's of years old to almost a thousand. The movie follows them as they have meetings about their "chore" wheel, as they try to get into clubs (not easy when you have to be invited in) and even as they try to invite possible "blood suppliers" over to their apartment. There are even some rival werewolves that show up. What is a vampire to do as he tries to keep up with modern life?

I really liked this movie. It seems to be very low budget but that fits with the mockumentary style. It was written by Jermaine and Taika. If you ever saw Flight of the Conchords, this is a similar vein of humor (no pun intended). These guys have no reflection, so they try to describe each other's outfits. And, they have a big rivalry with the werewolves. Hilarious. Nacho Kim and I laughed out loud for the whole movie. It is CHEESY fun. We didn't really know what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. If this sounds like your cup of tea, I say go see it!!!
