Runs 96 minutes

Disgraced New York Congressman Anthony Weiner attempts to make a comeback and run for Mayor of New York City and he agrees to allow a documentary film crew to follow him around as he does it. For a full year, the film crew has unlimited access to Weiner, his wife Huma Abedin and his campaign staff. They follow him on the campaign trail as he shakes hands, kisses babies and gives speeches. Then more Twitter controversy is "exposed" and the film crew follows him and Huma as they deal with the fallout.

This is a fascinating film. I never liked Anthony Weiner or his politics but he was a fighter for his constituents. His fall from grace was embarrassing on many levels. As he tries to regain some political momentum and run for Mayor, he comes off as knowledgeable and likeable until additional Twitter pictures/texts are exposed. You can't help but feel sorry for Huma Abedin. She seems like a decent person but she must have some kind of ulterior motive for sticking with him. This film is really in-depth and very funny. Weiner himself must be a narcissist to think that this film would be a positive for him. Oh well, that just made it more entertaining for the rest of us. If you like politics and documentaries, this is one of the best. Totally entertaining. (Also available on VOD.)
