Elizabeth Banks is Meghan Miles, a good Texas girl who reads the "News at 5:00". She is up for a promotion but is passed over for a bigger name, her fiance dumps her and she has a phobia of cats. Her girlfriends decide to cheer her up and take her out for a night on the town. It turns into quite a night as they down shots and meet men. Later that night, she finds out she might still have a chance for that promotion if she just shows up bright and cheery for a test audition the next day. So, she better get home, right? Well, she gets locked out of her one-night stand's apartment (because of a cat, no less), her car is towed and she is stranded in a bad part of town with no phone, no money, in a tight yellow dress in the middle of the night. She meets many interesting people and is mistaken for a hooker in a running gag with the police and some crackheads. There are several hilarious cameos that pop up along the way. Her Walk of Shame is a long journey home.

If you can get past the initial set-up and the groan inducing stupid things Meghan does, this is quite a funny movie.  There are some hilarious throw away lines and I was laughing out loud at the absurdity of it all. Elizabeth Banks is a great comedic actress. It was fun watching her try to wriggle out of each uncomfortable circumstance. You can't help but think what you would do in each case (of course, you wouldn't get in this predicament in the first place...) This movie will not win an Oscar. It is lightweight and predicatable but I thought it was pretty funny and not a bad way to pass 95 minutes.
