This is the story of Dick Cheney (Christian Bale), an un-assuming bureaucrat and Washington insider who goes on to be George W. Bush's (Sam Rockwell) Vice President, and as the writer of the film explains, the person who wielded most of the power in that relationship.

Depending on your political leaning, you may or may not like this film. I went with my conservative Husband (who hated it) and a friend on the opposite side of the political spectrum who hated it, too. Even though I am very conservative, I liked the film. It made me laugh and the acting was top-notch. Christian Bale was unrecognizable as Dick Cheney. He was a dead ringer for Dick. I thought Sam Rockwell and Amy Adams (as Lynne Cheney) were both excellent. I learned a few things and took other things with a grain of salt. This is not a documentary and I guarantee they embellished actions and conversations. But, taken as a sarcastic, political comedy, the film is pretty funny. So, if this sounds good to you, then go see it.
