Runs 95 Minutes

Sandra (Marion Cotillard) Is a young mother in Belgium on sick leave from her job. She finds out that her boss has informed her co-workers that they have a choice to make: they can all receive their bonuses and she will be let go or they must forego their bonuses for her to keep her job. The employees vote to keep their bonuses. She has one weekend to convince her co-workers to re-think their positions and agree to give up their bonuses so she can keep her job.

This is a very different movie. This would not likely happen in the United States but that is what makes it so fascinating. We see Sandra slowly come out of her fog of depression as she fights to keep her job. Marion Cotillard is so good. She is beautiful even in a tank top with no make up. I like watching slice of life movies like this from other countries. No explosions or car chases, just a small movie wih big stakes for Sandra. If you like foreign films, go see it.
