Marlo (Charlize Theron) is the stressed mother of a newborn baby, and two other equally challenging children. Her husband Drew (Ron Livingston), while sympathetic, is slightly checked out in the kid department. Marlo's brother Craig (Mark Duplass) offers her a night nanny as a baby present. At first, Marlo is resistant. She doesn't want a stranger bonding with her child. But, eventually lack of sleep and brain fog has her calling in reinforcements. Tully (Mackenzie Davis) is a marvelous night nanny. She cooks, cleans and takes care of the baby, letting Marlo finally get some deserved rest. They really hit it off and soon Marlo and Tully are fast friends. But, all good things must finally come to an end and Tully must move on to the next family in need of her services.

This is a great movie. It sounds pretty straightforward. But, you are in for a treat! It really lays it on the line about how hard it is raising kids. There is no sugar-coating the lack of sleep, the dirty clothes, the unwanted weight gain and everything else. It may make you think twice about how much you really want kids. Ha! But, it is funny and endearing. And, it ends up being just a little different than you expected it to be. I really liked it. I thought Charlize Theron was amazing.  And, I really liked how her relationship with her husband was portrayed. They love each other but kids get in the middle and it takes a little extra effort to re-connect. Loved it! Go see it.
