Amy (Amy Schumer) and her sister Kim (Brie Larson) grew up as children of divorce. From a young age, the sisters were told that monogomy was not realistic by their father Gordon (Colin Quinn). Kim discounted her Father's advice and found love and married. Amy didn't. She became a writer at S'Nuff magazine and worked on articles about sex and hooking up. Her life after work mirrored her articles. She drank a lot, smoked pot and slept around. She was commitment phobic and couldn't even stay the night with her conquests. Then her boss Dianna (Tilda Swinton) assigns her to write a story about a local sports doctor, Aaron (Bill Hader) and everything changes. She finds herself slowly falling for Aaron and doesn't know how to act in a grown-up relationship. Will she realize what commitment means or will everything end in a giant Trainwreck?

This movie is hilarious and touching. It deals with serious subjects in a humorous way and was much more emotional than I had anticipated. Some of Amy's early relationships/one-night stands are hilarious. John Cena is a stand-out as a sort of boyfriend. He was so funny! And, LeBron James as a client/friend of Aaron's was fabulous. He is a star and has a career after basketball as an actor if he wants it. I also thought Amar'e Stoudemire was pretty funny. There were so many cameos that it is hard to recognize all of them. Amy Schumer was just great. She wrote the screenplay and she is just outstanding. This is a breakout performance. I really loved this movie. It made me laugh out loud and also tear up. It has a lot of bad language and plenty of male nudity for a change (no female nudity - but some cheerleaders thrown in for the guys) so be prepared. It won't be for everyone, but I really enjoyed it. A grown-up date movie. Go see it.
