In the Ottoman province during WWI, a young Bedouin boy named Theeb helps his brother water the camels and tries to stay out trouble. He is fun-loving and mischievous. When an enigmatic British soldier shows up needing a guide to lead him through the perilous desert, Theeb tags along with his brother on the adventure. Soon, the trip turns into a dangerous journey as the brothers are caught in the middle of armed conflict. Now, Theeb must use every survival skill at his disposal to make it back to his family.

This movie was actually better than I was expecting. It is almost like a thriller as Theeb must decide who to trust to help him get back to his family. There is still armed conflict all around him and there are dangerous raiders along the way. And, this is the desert and water wells are scarce. Theeb faces a difficult struggle in this coming of age tale of survival amidst the nomadic way of the life of the Bedouins. I really liked it. Go see it.
