Dell Scott (Kevin Hart) is down on his luck. He is estranged from his wife and unable to see his son. He needs to find a job or at least get three signatures proving that he is looking. He ends up at Phillip LaCasse's (Bryan Cranston) penthouse apartment thinking he will get an interview for a janitor's job. Instead, on a whim, Phillip hires him to be his personal caretaker. You see Phillip is a quadraplegic and needs help with every little thing. Phillip's Chief Executive Yvonne (Nicole Kidman) warns Phillip that Dell is not qualified but Phillip is unhappy and just wants someone who will obey his DNR if it comes down to it. What starts out as a rocky relationship turns into a deep and personal friendship as Dell gets Phillip to start to enjoy life again.

This is a fantastic movie. It is hilarious and heartfelt. Kevin Hart is really good in a more serious role. He still gets to be funny but he is not manic like in his other comedies. He is relatable and entertaining. Bryan Cranston is awesome. He must act with only his face and his words. He is funny, sad, sympathetic, angry and lonely. Bryan is able to convey all of those emotions perfectly. Nicole Kidman is sweet in an understated role. The Husband and I both loved this film. This is a remake of the French film "The Intouchables" which I also loved. It is based on a true story and it is fun to know that these two men are still friends today. This movie is great! Go see it!!!
