Runs 123 minutes

This is primarily a movie about the romance between a brilliant man, Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) and his first wife Jane (Felicity Jones). What makes it truly fascinating is that even though he was a genius, publishing papers on black holes and the beginning of the universe, he was also slowly succumbing to ALS. This movie delves into their relationship and the drastic effect that this terrible disease had on their lives. Stephen was able to continue to work and is still alive today, well surpassing all doctors expectations.

This is another really great and interesting true story. Stephen Hawking, with the help and devotion of his wife Jane, was really able to acomplish the impossible. She helped him to live as normal a life as possible and continue to work and write books. They were even able to have children. Over time, the nature of their relationship began to change but she was instrumental in giving him a lot of joy during some very dark and trying times. Eddie Redmayne really captures Stephen as he weakens more and more from ALS, eventually unable to do much more than move a finger and speak through a computer. Felicity is perfect as his wife Jane. This was a true romance and the movie is definitely worth seeing.
