Sean Briar (Idris Elba) is a CIA agent stationed in Paris. When a bomb explodes in the street killing four people and CCTV reveals the face of the potential terrorist, Briar is tasked with tracking him down. Soon, he is identified as Michael Mason (William Madden) a small time con artist and pick-pocket. Only, once Briar has him in custody, he discovers that Mason had stolen the package containing the bomb and unwittingly tossed it out. Now, Briar and Mason must work together to track down the real culprits because it looks like there is an even more sinister plot in the works.
This was a pretty decent thriller. It was fast-paced with a few nice chase scenes (especially across the rooftops of Paris) and a few nice plot twists. The cast was really strong. Idris Elba was like a cross between James Bond and Jason Bourne, a one man wrecking crew. It was nice to see William Madden (former Robb Stark from Game of Thrones) in a starring role. Throw in Kelly Reilly and Charlotte Le Bon and you have a nice well-rounded cast. Definitely worth seeing if you are a fan of thrillers.
