Runs 86 minutes

Bo (Steven Yeun) is a poor mill worker donkey. All he longs for is to join the royal caravan and live a free and celebrated life. His best friend Dave the dove (Keegan Michael-Key) is doing his best to help him escape from the mill. Once he does break free, he runs into Mary (Gina Rodriguez) and begins the adventure of a lifetime. Led by the Star in the sky, Bo, Dave, a sheep named Ruth (Aidy Bryant), some camels and various other stable animals all help lead Mary and Joseph to the stable for Jesus bith. And, watch over them as the new King is born.

I loved this film. It is funny and touching. The animals are so cute. I thought this was a very unique and uplifting way to tell the story of Mary, Joseph and the birth of Jesus. The filmmakers stick to the basics of the story but in the film the animals become the unknowing heroes, who help protect Jesus from Herod's evil soldier trying to kill him. It is the perfect family movie. I was once again touched by the miraculous birth of Jesus. Looking at Jesus' birth through the eyes of the animals was just heart-warming. I hope this becomes a Christmas event film for years to come. Take the family and go see this film now!
