Rana (Taraneh Alidoosti) and Emad (Shahab Hosseini) are an Iranian couple forced to leave their crumblng apartment at a moments notice. Busy performing in the play "Death of a Salesman", they jump at the chance to move when a friend finds them an apartment. Of course, things start off a little strange because the former tenant has not moved her belongings out yet. They move her things to an empty room and begin to settle in. Only, they soon learn that the former tenant might have been involved in some unsavory business. Then, the unspeakable happens and the couple's way of life is soon turned upside down.

Directed by Asghar Farhadi, this film won the Best Foreign Film Oscar in 2017. It is a very intense, interesting film. He also won the Oscar for A Separation, which I thought was slightly better. But, if you liked that film, you will like this one. The film paints an interesting picture of life in current day Iran. These folks were actors putting on a play. They were worried about censors and things but they just carried on. And, after the incident in the film, it is very interesting to see how this couple responds to the event as opposed to what might happen in America. The Husband and I both enjoyed this film. Go see it
