Runs 98 Minutes

Set in 1974, Professor Joseph Coupland (Jared Harris) recruits several of his college students to help him conduct an experiment to create and destroy malevolent energy in a young women named Jane Harper (Olivia Cooke). Eventually, they are forced to move the experiment off campus (because it is probably illegal!) and the professor and his three students move into a creepy old house with Jane. The professor runs tests and pokes and prods her to try to produce this evil energy, while the students video tape it and discuss it.  The students begin to think that Jane is possessed but Professor knows best.  The experiment does not end well for anyone involved.

The movie is actually pretty dull until at least halfway through.  It does pick up some steam once the "evil energy" starts acting out. Poor Jane is kept in a locked room and made to sleep on a mattress on the floor. No one seems too concerned with any of it. It just isn't very scary and no one seems to act in a logical manner.  If you are going to be illogical, at least put me on the edge of my seat.  Not really worth the time.
