Jill's Review

Opens June 26, 2015

Runs 80 minutes

Alex (Adam Scott) and Emily (Taylor Schilling) and their son RJ have just moved to Los Angeles from Seattle and they are having a hard time meeting people. One day at the park, their son befriends Max and soon Max's parents Kurt (Jason Scwartzman) and Charlotte (Judith Godreche) have invited them all over for dinner. Dinner turns into after dinner drinks and then all night craziness.

Without giving too much away, I thought this movie was just a little too over the top. Everyone was good in their roles and it was funny in parts, but then it just got too weird. There is one scene of visual humor, using prosthetics, that is pretty hilarious. But, I honestly can't really see any of this happening with people you just met. It was very explicit and at times I kept wondering how it got just an R rating. If you are easily shocked, then you should skip this one.
