Jill's Review

Opens March 4, 2016
Runs 96 minutes
Maria (Sarah Wayne Callies) and Michael (Jeremy Sisto) have set up their antique business in India. It is beautiful and more relaxed than in the States. Things are great until their son Oliver is killed. Maria cannot overcome her grief. Their housekeeper Piki (Suchitra Pillai) wants to help Maria and tells her of an ancient custom - visit the secret temple where the space between the living and the dead is the narrowest and you can say your final goodbye to Oliver through the temple door. But, no matter what...don't open the door. Guess what?? Maria opens the door and horror ensues. Will anyone make it out alive?
This is an average horror film. It isn't really scary until the final act. I wasn't sure what was going to happen with the creepy ash covered ancient warriors that kept showing up but the rest was pretty predictable. Not the worst movie, just average. Take it or leave it.
