Runs 101 minutes

Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen) and Chris (Anthony Mackie) have been friends since childhood. When Ethan lost his parents 10 years ago, the three of them started a tradition of donning ugly Christmas sweaters and spending Christmas Eve together so Ethan wouldn't have to be alone for the Holiday. This generally involved women, drugs and karaoke. Now, Isaac is about to have a baby and Chris has become a famous athlete so this is the last hurrah for the three friends. They want to go out on a high note and hit the Nutcracker Ball, a secret underground party that is the Holy Grail of all parties. Will they make the party or will other factors intervene to ruin their last big Christmas Eve together?

I thought this movie was ok. It did have some big laughs, but it also had a lot of cringe-worthy moments. I expected a little more from this cast of characters. I will admit that Michael Shannon was pretty funny as Mr. Green, the drug dealer. I think I was expecting just a little more from these guys. There were just a few too many drugs, explicit pictures of male anantomy (involving a lost cell phone) and a lot of bad language for a Christmas movie. I don't see this becoming a must-see classic. If you are up for some cheap laughs, then this might be for you. Otherwise, I would probably see something else.
