Dr. Ben Bass (Idris Elba) and journalist Alex Martin (Kate Winslet) have the same problem - they both need to get to Denver for different reasons. But, there is a ground stop on all commercial flights due to an incoming storm. Alex and Ben decide to go in together to charter a small plane to get them where they need to go. Of course, things go awry and Alex and Ben end up stranded on the top of a snow-covered mountain in the wilderness. With only a few snacks and the pilot's dog, Ben and Alex must work togther to survive. Will they make it back or succumb to the elements?

I liked this movie. The Husband liked it, too just not as much as me. It is gorgeous to look at. The pristine wilderness is breathtaking. I love Idris Elba and Kate Winslet and you can't help rooting for their survival. SPOILER ALERT: I was worried about the dog for the whole movie. He survives! You can see how this experience would bond two people. The Husband and I both figured we would have died on the mountain! You even feel cold just watching the movie. Anyway, this is a nice romantic adventure popcorn flick. Great for a date night. Go see it.
