Runs 132 minutes

In this remake, the town of Rose Creek is under siege by a mining company run by the evil Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard). Chisolm (Denzel Washington), a bounty hunter, is recruited by Emma (Haley Bennett) the wife of a man slain by Bogue, to help her and her townspeople seek revenge. He rounds up a gambler named Josh Faraday (Chris Pratt), sharp-shooter Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), knife thrower Billy Rocks (Lee Byung-Hun), a Mexican outlaw named Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) and a Mountain man named Jack Horne (Vincent D'Onofrio). Together they take on Bogue and his crew to help save the town.

This is a pretty good movie. There is plenty of action and humor. However, I did find it a ltttle drawn out, even with all of the action. I liked all of the characters but I never felt a deep connection to anyone. People were getting shot and dying at the blink of an eye but I never really cared who lived or died. Obviously, I wanted Emma to have her revenge. It just seemed to take quite a while to get there. I thought everyone did a good job. It was nice to see all of these people on horseback!. Overall, entertaining but a little distant. Definitely worth seeing if you  are a fan of Westerns.
