Runs 104 minutes

Batman (Will Arnett) is called to save Gotham from the Joker (Zach Galifianakis) and his henchmen as they have planted a bomb in the city's power plant. He rushes in and defuses the bomb but Joker gets away promising more trouble is in the works. Meanwhile, at the retirement party for Chief Gordon (Hector Elizondo), Batman is distracted by the new chief, Barbara Gordon (Rosario Dawson) and accidentally adopts an orphan. Once he returns home, Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) forces Batman to deal with his newly adopted orphan Dick (Michael Cera). Dick soon learns that he has been adopted by Batman. He can't wait to get his own secret identity and longs to become Batman's sidekick Robin. Soon, the city is under siege once again. Can Batman lose his loner ways and join forces with his new sidekick Robin and the new police commissioner to save Gotham and maybe even have a little family bonding time along the way?

This movie is hilarious. It is not quite as good as the first LEGO movie but only because that one had such a surprise ending. Batman is all angsty and gravelly voiced. He talks to himself and eats lobster thermidor in his Batcave. He even sings his own theme song. He thinks he is happy being a loner vigilante until Robin comes along. Together, they are so funny. This movie is a pure joy. It is a send up of all past Batman movies, good and bad. There are clips from some of the old Batman shows and movies and this film has no problem referencing them and sometimes making fun of them. One of the best Batman films in a while. It will keep you laughing until the end. Highly recommend this movie. Go see it and take the kids!!
