Another swords and sandals epic, this time the origin story of Hercules. Kellan Lutz plays Hercules before he knew he was Hercules. It begins with his mother being impregnated by Zeus (basically sex with no nudity and an imaginary ghost) and producing a half mortal, half god baby. Her husband never accepts the child and Hercules and his brother are adversaries while growing up. The father sends Hercules to War so that he can marry Hercules' beloved to his brother and join the Nations of Crete and Greece. He endures battles and slavery in his efforts to get home to his true love. The movie is pure eye candy, with the men fighting in shorty shorts and capes. And the women looking clean and beautiful while living with no running water or electricity. Some of the effects are nice, but not really worth the time.
