This is the live action story of the Jungle Book. Young Mowgli (Neel Sethi) has been raised by wolves and watched over by the black panther Bagheera (Ben Kingsley). Now, as the man-cub grows older, he is being threatened by Shere Khan (Idris Elba) the tiger who was seriously injured by a man. He sees no place in the jungle for Mowgli and threatens to harm him. Bagheera feels that the only safe place for Mowgli is the Man-Village so they set out to return him to his people. Along the way they meet Baloo (Bill Murray) who joins them in their quest. On this journey of self-discovery, Mowgli learns the true meaning of friendship, family and where he truly belongs.

I loved this movie. The animals are gorgeous. You just want to reach out and touch them. The voice talent including Ben Kingsley, Bill Murray, Idris Elba, Scarlett Johansson, Lupita Nyong'o and Christopher Walken are all fabulous. They bring the jungle to life. There are some scary scenes - these are wild animals afterall, so be careful with the younger children. But, overall this is a fantastic movie for the whole family. It is gorgeous and epic. As directed by Jon Favreau, this will live on as one of the great Disney films of our time.
