Ravenna (Charlize Theron) and Freya (Emily Blunt) are sisters. When Freya falls in love and has a baby, Ravenna is threatened and drives Freya over the edge and out of the castle. She leaves their home to go and rule the Frozen North as the Ice Queen. And, she no longer believes in love. She begins to raise a child army to serve and protect her. Her only rule is that no one can fall in love. Of course, Eric (Chris Hemsworth) and Sara (Jessica Chastain) fall in love and must hide their attraction from Freya. When she learns of their betrayal, she separates them for life. This eventually leads to a showdown between the sisters and the lovers. Can love prevail in the end?

This movie isn't terrible. Everyone looks great and the costumes are amazing. Chris Hemsworth is a fun and happy hero. Charlize and Emily are both superb in their roles. And Jessica proves she can be a decent action star. The dwarves were pretty funny, too. It's not worth trying to explain how this fits in with the first Huntsman film. Just know that it is a sort of prequel to the last one. So, overall the movie was fast-paced, entertaining and great to look at. Not as bad as everyone is saying but an average action picture. See it or not, won't hurt you either way.
