Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) is feeling low. He used to be a Triple "A" rated Protection Officer with a beautiful Interpol Agent girlfriend, Amelia (Elodie Yung). Now, having lost an important client and his girlfriend, he is stuck protecting coked-up CEO's. When Amelia is tasked with transporting the notorious hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) to testify at a trial, she runs into trouble and must take Darius into hiding. You see, he is the prime witness against Vladislav Dukhovich (Gary Oldman), who has committed genocide against his own people. All of the other witnesses have been killed. At wit's end and not knowing who she can trust, she calls in Michael. If nothing else, she knows that he can get Darius to trial in one piece, even if she hates to rely on him for anything. Little does she know that Michael and Darius have a complicated past. Can they put their differences aside and make it to the trial alive?

I was really looking forward to this film. I love Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson. So... It was pretty good. It was action-packed. But, it was almost a little over-the-top. Explosions, shootings, car chases and crashes. It was crazy. And the language was terrible. Still, it was funny and Ryan and Sam had great chemisty. Salma Hayek was a hoot as Sam's wife. She did a great job playing against type. There is a plot and it is entertaining. The Husband and I just thought that it could have been great. If you love Ryan and Sam and action movies, this won't be a classic but it is still worth seeing.
