Runs 98 minutes

Chela (Ana Brun) and Chiquita (Margarita Arun) are a lesbian couple in a long-term relationship. They are descendents of wealthy families, now forced to sell off family heirlooms to make ends meet. Chela is withdrawn and embarrassed by their dire straits. Chiquita takes it all in stride, even when she is sent to prison for fraud. After Chiquita is sent away, Chela wanders around their worn out mansion, out of sorts and afraid of her own shadow. But, slowly she comes out of her shell as she starts her own Uber/Taxi service for some of her rich, older neighbors. This gets her out of the house. Soon, she feels a certain freedom behind the wheel and is making her own money for the first time. She is even intrigued by Angy (Ana Ivanova) a free-spirited young woman who uses her car service. Chela is finally facing the world on her own terms. When Chiquita is released from prison, Chela may find it difficult to return to the way things were before she opened herself back up to the world.

This is an intimate movie. We see Chela and Chiquita go about their daily lives until things are upended when Chiquita goes to prison. There is not much action and there is really little explanation for how these women ended up so destitute. It seems that Chiquita blew all of their money somehow. Another curious thing is that they have a maid, even while they are selling off all of their worldly possessions. Hmmm. Chela is so timid in the beginning. It is nice to see her come out of her shell. But, again not much else happens. And, the ending was both really good and a little lacking. You will have to see it for yourself to see what you think. If you like little films with good acting (and no men - ha!), then this is the film for you.
