Gene (voiced by T.J. Miller) is the "meh" emoji. He and his friends live in a community (inside the phone) that are only supposed to feel their one emotion. The only problem is that Gene feels more emotions than he should. He isn't allowed to work the actual phone because his parents (voiced by Jennifer Coolidge and Steven Wright) are afraid that he might display the wrong emotion. He, along with Hi-5 (James Corden) and Jailbreak (Anna Faris) decide to travel to the "Cloud" so that Gene can get re-programmed. Along the way, they are confronted with an even bigger danger and they must join together to keep from being deleted forever.

This movie was not good. Normally, I can enjoy an animated film for what it is meant to be - a kid's film. Not this one. This movie was slow and not funny. I was fighting sleep. I will say it is colorful and it was a neat idea - if you ever wondered what went on behind the scenes of your cell phone. I wasn't expecting much and I got even less from this film. The kids leaving did seem to think it was ok but not me. Skip it.
