Aisholpan, a 13 year-old nomadic Mongolian girl, trains to become the first female eagle hunter in twelve generations of her family of eagle hunters. The film follows her as she catches her eagle, trains him and then travels to her first competition. The film depicts themes of female empowerment, nomadic life and living life in the natural world.

This is a very sweet film. It is hard to imagine living a nomadic life of hardship like these people do in outer Mongolia. The scenery was fantastic and beautiful. The relationship between the girl and her eagle was pretty amazing. And, the interviews with the older male eagle hunters was pretty hilarious. They do not approve of a female becoming an eagle hunter. She shows them. Pretty funny. So, overall, a good movie depicting a way of life that is hard to even imagine. Very likeable and entertaining.
