Runs 118 minutes

Myrtle "Tilly" Dunnage (Kate Winslet) was run out of town as a child for a crime that she can't even remember committing. She spends years away in boarding school and then honing her dressmaking skills in exclusive Paris fashion houses. Now, she has returned home to check on her eccentric mother Molly (Judy Davis) and to try to come to grips with her past. Soon, she falls for the sweet, younger Teddy (Liam Hemsworth) and is dressing the town's women in the latest fashions all while plotting her revenge on the town that turned against her when she was a child.

This movie is darkly funny, crazy, sad, shocking and even unexpectedly romantic and touching. It is almost indescribable. Ultimately, it is a revenge thriller that will also make you laugh out loud (and at inappropriate times). Kate Winslet was fabulous as was Judy Davis. Those two just gave it their all. Liam Hemsworth was pretty good, too (and looked great!). This was a nice grown-up role for him. Hugo Weaving was a revelation. He was just hilarious. I loved it! The Husband even liked it. It does take a few dark turns so be prepared. For fans of great independent cinema, this is a must see!
