Runs 111 minutes

Travis (Benjamin Walker) is single, still on and off with his high school girfriend Monica (Alexandria Daddario) and not ready to settle down. He is a veternarian, in practice with his widowed father Shep (Tom Wilkinson). He lives in a nice cottage on the water and constantly entertains friends and his sister Steph (Maggie Grace). Gabby (Teresa Palmer) is a med student, studying for her boards. She rented a tiny cottage near the water, hoping for peace and quiet to study in her downtime. And, she is almost engaged to the hunky doctor at the hospital where she works and trains. She and Travis are immediately at odds because of his loud music. But, she warms up to him a little when he helps her dog Molly deliver her puppies. Eventually, they wind up in a relationship that is tested in more ways than one. Will love prevail or will Travis be forced to make a choice that will shatter all of their dreams?

This is a typical Nicholas Sparks film. Meet cute, fall in love against all odds, face tragedy and shed a lot of tears. But, it is filmed in a beautiful location with beautiful people. You know exactly what you are getting when you go to a Nicholas Sparks film and if you like his stories, then you won't be disappointed. Nacho Kim and I both shed a few tears and enjoyed the movie. It won't win any Oscars but it was a nice love story and worth a couple hours at the theatre.
