Based on the best-selling book, this is the true story of Lee Strobel (Mike Vogel), an avowed atheist who set out to prove God did not exist after his wife Leslie (Erika Christensen) became a Christian. Lee was an investigative journalist who only believed in "the facts". If it couldn't be proven, then it wasn't true. He was very disturbed that his smart and sensible wife would believe in something based on faith. He felt her slipping away from him and he set out to prove her wrong. Only, he ended up proving that it was only his own stubbornness that was holding him back from God. He joined his wife in becoming a Christian and has been sharing his faith ever since.

I really liked this movie. I thought it was well-acted and entertaining. It is thought-provoking and touching. It seems like it will appeal more to a Christian audience but that is ok. We need more films that the whole family can enjoy. It is a great look at the "facts" of Jesus and the resurrection. Not a bad place to start if you have a non-believer friend. Take the family and go see it.
