Adaline Bowman (Blake Lively) was born in 1905, met a lovely man, married and had a beby named Flemming. She was widowed early when he was killed in the War. At age 29, Adaline was involved in a tragic car accident which somehow left her unable to age. She journeys through life, never settling down and always looking over her shoulder, afraid that someone will discover her secret. Love and relationships are out of the question. She can't even spend as much time with Flemming (Ellen Burstyn) as she would like because her daughter has grown older than her. Flemming worries about her Mother, but as Adaline says, love just doesn't make sense when you can't grow old together. Then she meets Ellis (Michiel Huisman) a sweet and charming philanthropist and begins to think about the possibility of love again. A weekend with his parents threatens to unveil her secret. Will she open herself up to Ellis and allow love back into her life?

This movie is almost like a fairy-tale. The people are lovely and beautiful. Blake Lively is gorgeous and you just can't help but want her to be happy again. You always know pretty much where this movie is headed, but it is pure pleasure getting there. If you've seen the previews, you can probably guess the twist at the end, but that doesn't matter. Blake and Michiel have great chemistry together. I really liked this movie. It was sweet and romantic and just different enough to make it interesting. Go see it.
