A boy is diagnosed as severly autistic at a very young age. His parents are at odds with how to treat him. His Father (Robert C. Treveiler) decides to take matters into his own hands and puts the boy and his brother through intense military like training. After all, physical skills can make up for a lack of social graces, the Father thinks. As a grown man, Christian Wolf (Ben Affleck) becomes "The Accountant", a man with a savant's knowledge of numbers and an assassin's weapons skills. He puts all of these skills to use helping some very dangerous clients track down missing money or uncooking their books. When cost accountant Dana (Anna Kendrick) discovers that money might be missing at her Robotics cpmpany, the owner Lamar (John Lithgow) calls in The Accountant. While Christian uncoils the books to find the missing money, the Treasury department headed by Ray King (J.K. Simmons) is hot on his trail. And, an assassin named Brax (John Bernthal) is also tracking him trying to keep him from solving his latest case. Can Christian keep Dana safe and find the missing money before his world comes crashing down around him?

The Husband and I loved this movie! It is fast-paced, smart and original. It keeps you on your toes, constantly guessing as to where it is headed next. I fgured out a few things but there were plenty of other surprises. Ben Affleck was great. The role called for a serious, almost deadpan kind of acting and it suited him. Anna Kendrick was her usual bubbly and talkative self. John Bernthal was great, too. I don't want to give anything away, but there were some nice twists. A few coincidences here and there were a iittle far fetched but didn't detract from enjoying the mlovie. If you like smart movies that make you think but also have plenty of great lines and humor and thrilling action, then this is for you. Go see it!
