John Connor (Jason Clarke) sends Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke). When he arrives, he finds out that she already has a Guardian, Pops (Arnold Schwarzenegger). And nothing is as he expected it to be. Now, Kyle has a new mission. He, Sarah and Pops must travel to 2017 and stop the Genisys/Skynet software from ever causing Judgement Day and destroying the population.

We liked this movie. The Husband and I were both surprised that it wasn't too difficult to follow, even if you hadn't seen the previous installments (I had, he hadn't). This was sort of a reboot with a voiceover at the beginning that brought the audience up-to-date. I think TRNRJOE was too tired to really enjoy the movie, so his opinion doesn't really count. I thought Arnold was hilarious. He has always been a wooden actor and in this movie he plays a Terminator/robot so his woodeness worked to his advantage. He was very funny. The movie was a little long, but it moved at a fast clip and there was constant action. The regenerating Terminators were awesome. And, the old vs. the young Arnold was just spectacular. I loved that they used a real human and Arnold's younger face to play the other Terminator. So cool! If you are a fan of the Terminator films, go see it! Even if you aren't, it is still a fun way to spend 2 hours. Arnold will crack you up! Go see it!
