The Turtles are back and called into action when Shredder (Brian Tee) escapes from his prison transport truck. He has nefarious plans to team up with Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) to assemble a device that will open a hole in the cosmic universe and allow the evil Krang to send in his war ship and take over the Earth. Shredder has employed Rock Steady (Stephen Farrelly) and Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) to find the missing pieces of his device. Meanwhile, April O'Neill (Megan Fox) and Vernon Fenwick - the Falcon (Will Arnett) are back to help the turtles. And they have recruited Casey Jones (Stephen Amell) from under the nose of Chief Vincent (Laura Linney) to help them try to stop Shredder.  Will they be able to foil the evil plot in time and save mankind again?

This movie is action-packed and lots of fun. It is great to look at. The 3D is pretty good! It is still geared more to the tween audience but it is a perfect family film. The PG-13 is for the violence but that is cartoonish at most. I thought there was a little too much going on sometimes and it seemed a little long but overall, it was fun and entertaining. I really enjoyed seeing the turtles atop various landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. The filming was just epic and panoramic in those scenes. So, if you liked the first one, this one is better. It is a light action film for the early summer. See it with the kids.
