Runs 97 minutes

Tammy (Melissa McCarthy) wrecks her car, loses her job and comes home early only to discover that her husband is having an affair with their neighbor. She decides that she really needs to get out of town. Since she no longer has a car, she jumps at the chance to borrow her grandmother Pearl's (Susan Sarandon) car. The only problem is that her grandmother comes with the car. She hits the road with Pearl. The trip turns into a comic adventure. They fight, they bond and then they fight some more on the road to Niagra Falls. Will they make it back in one piece or will Tammy leave Grandma on the side of the road?

This movie is pretty funny but it is also slightly mean-spirited. Susan Sarandon lets it all hang out but she can be quite difficult to like since she is a mean drunk. Melissa McCarthy gives her all once again. She and her husband wrote this movie and he directs it. His cameos are some of the funniest bits in the movie. Overall, I liked it and I did laugh a lot.  It just won't go down as a classic.
