Runs 123 minutes

Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), a government intelligence officer, assembles a team of incarcerated supervillians, puts "suicide" triggers in their necks that she controls and sends them on a mission with Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) leading the charge to defeat an epic baddie intent on destroying the world. Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbage), Slipknot (Adam Beach) and Katana (Karen Fukuhara) join forces to try to stop Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) and her evil creation from detonating a massive bomb. One misstep and they are toast. Can these evil criminals put aside their penchant for destruction and work as a team, even after they learn that they may be turned into scapegoats if anything goes awry?

The Husband and I liked this movie. It was good, not great (seems like I have said that about a lot of movies this summer). The characters are cool - some backstories are more developed than others - but it takes quite a while to meet all of the characters and get the story rolling. I thought everyone did a good job. Loved Will Smith - he had most of the good lines, along with Jai Courtney. Of course, Margot Robbie was awesome. She even got to dangle from a rope, a skill I'm sure she learned from Tarzan. Ha. A few nice cameos - Go Batman (Ben Affleck). But, again, I thought it took a little too long to get the story moving and I thought the end was a bit loud and messy. The Joker (Jared Leto) was weird and a bit of a distraction from the main story. Nice set-up for the sequel, though. So, not bad. No bad language. Dark, but with ample humor. If you are a fan of these characters, then go see it!
