This is the fourth installment in the Step Up series. I really liked the first two so I keep going back (just keep hoping for another Channing Tatum cameo...) but this one really had very little plot. Sean (Ryan Guzman) is in L.A. now and hears about a competition in Las Vegas. His MOB crew has deserted him for Miami so he is forced to recruit a new crew to compete in Vegas for a life-changing three-year contract. Of course, the MOB is there to compete as well as all of the other great dance crews. Will Sean, with the help of Moose (Adam Savani, the one holdover from all of the previous films) be able to put together a crew and win the ultimate prize?
As usual, the dancing is amazing. But, there is so little plot and so little chance to really care about the characters that it just doesn't matter. Unless you are a DIEHARD Step Up fan, I would skip this one. Or, just go to the matinee for $4......
