Runs 152 minutes

Picking up right where The Force Awakens left off, we find Rey (Daisy Ridley) trying to convince Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to train her to be a Jedi. Luke is bitter and despondent over what happened with Ben/Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and thinks that the Jedi's should die with him. But Rey is determined and soon, against his better judgment, Luke is helping her hone her newly discovered abilities - one of which involves an unusual connection with Kylo Ren. Meanwhile, the Resistance, led by Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) is preparing for battle with the First Order. We find Finn (David Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Isaac) eager to engage the First Order and Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) ready to avenge her sister and do whatever it takes to save the rest of the people she loves. Together, they must hold off the First Order until Rey returns to help them win the battle and live to fight another day.

If you are an average Star Wars fan (like me), you will probably like this movie just fine. It is action-packed, full of great space battle scenes and even a little funny. It was sad to see Carrie Fisher in her last role on the big screen. I kept wondering how they are going to handle her death in the next film. I thought the movie was a little too long. It seems that they just tried to stick every cool thing they could think of into the film. Loved the porgs (cute little big-eyed birds). And the Crystal Critters. Overall, an entertaining movie. It answers some questions from the last film but still leaves you hanging for the next one. If you are a fan, then go see it.
