Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez collaborate to bring another movie based on the Sin City series of graphic novels to the screen. A lot of the same characters are back: Marv (Mickey Rourke), Nancy (Jessica Alba), Dwight (now played by Josh Brolin), Hartigan (Bruce Willis, even though he's dead) and Senator Roark (Powers Boothe). These characters roll through the seedy underbelly of SIn City, some out for revenge, some out for pleasure and some just out there. There isn't much plot, just a few story lines that weave through the movie and loosely tie the characters together and give everyone an excuse to cause mayhem and destruction.

The first Sin City was a better movie. The visual style was new and creative. This movie still looks great but the plot is just too weak. There is plenty of stylized violence and lots of graphic nudity if that is your thing but the whole movie is just a tad too dull. I didn't care what happened to anyone. Unless you reallly LOVED the first Sin City, I would skip this one and see something else.
