Coach John Harrison (Alex Kendrick) is looking forward to next basketball season when his team should contend for the state title. Unfortunately, things don't always go as planned. The manufacturing plant in town is shut down and his team is decimated as folks are forced to move away to find jobs. Principal Brooks (Priscilla Shirer) recruits John to coach the cross-country team since they won't be able to fill a basketball squad. Reluctantly, John agrees but only one young girl shows up for tryouts and she has asthma. However this young girl, Hannah Scott (Aryn Wright-Thompson), inspires John and his wife Amy (Sharu Rigby) with her determination and ability. With words of encouragement and prayers from a very sick man that John meets at the hospital, he becomes the coach he never thought he could be leading the most unlikely young woman to the state championships in cross-country.

The newest Christian film from the Kendrick Brothers is really good. It is inspirational and uplifting. I thought it was very well done and very well acted (not cheesy or hokey like some faith-based films can be). It kept my interest and I really liked all of the characters. Aryn Wright-Thompson was adorable as Hannah Scott. And, I loved how she came to find her faith in this movie. She also did a lot of running. I bet she was in great shape after she finished filming this movie! If you are looking for a sweet faith-based family film, then this one is for you! Go see it.
