Runs 110 minutes

Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock), sister of Danny Ocean (George Clooney in the other Ocean films) has been in jail for the last 5 years, all the while stewing over being set up and plotting her next heist. Once she is released, she immediately rounds up a gang for her new plan. She is joined by Lou (Cate Blanchett), Anita (Mindy Kaling), Tammy (Sarah Paulson), Constance (Awkwafina), Nine Ball (Rihanna) and Rose Weil (Helena Bonham Carter). The new caper involves robbing the Met Gala or more precisely stealing the jewels from the neck of Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway) while she attends the Met Gala, surrounded by body guards. Can these women pull off what appears to be an impossible heist and walk away without getting caught?

This is a decent heist film. It is neat watching the plotting unfold and the women are fun together. However, it does seem to drag just a little in the middle of the film. It doesn't have that extra spark that Ocean'e Eleven had. Once the actual heist is in progress, the film picks up the pace and the action begins. The best part is when John Frazier (James Corden), the insurance investigator arrives. He really livens up the film. There are plenty of cameos but I have to admit, I kept wondering when George Clooney would show up - does he? You'll have to see the film to find out. The Husband and I liked it. It is a fun summer movie. Not great but entertaining and worth seeing. So, go see it.
