Vee (Emma Roberts) has always been the good girl. She does well in school and listens to her mother. She is best friends with Sydney (Emily Meade), who definitely pushes all of the boundaries. Sydney starts playing an on-line game called Nerve. It is like a Truth or Dare game with bigger consequences. When Vee feels challenged, she agrees to be a participant in the game. Only the game is being manipulated by an anonymous group of "watchers" who pair Vee up with Ian (Dave Franco) for a series of more and more dangerous dares. Does Vee have any chance of winning the game?

This movie was much better than I expected. The Husband even liked it! It was unique and involving. The use of technology was scary - especially considering the current growth of the Pokemon Go craze. It seemed very current. Emma Roberts and Dave Franco were both very likeable and you were rooting for them to come out ahead. Let's hope that there are no copycats out there who try to develop this game for real! It was an interesting movie with a nice use of today's technology. A decent diversion for a Saturday afternoon. Not a bad way to spend 96 minutes. Go see it.
