Runs 70 minutes

A young boy (nicknamed Zucchini) is taken to the orphange by kind police officer Raymond after a tragic accident involving his Mother. He feels like an outcast among the other children until a sweet girl named Camille arrives and becomes his friend. With Raymond's help and his newfound sense of belonging, Zucchini may just get a second chance at love and family.

This film was nominated for Best Animated Film at this year's Oscars. It lost to Zootopia but it is still a sweet and endearing movie. It is filmed in stop-motion animation, with bright colors and a nice soundtrack. It is in French so you do have to read subtitiles unless you catch the version that is dubbed in English. The subject matter is quite sad - these poor kids are each in the orphange for different reasons, none of them good. They all just want to belong and be happy. But, there is still plenty of humor and an outcome that leans toward a brighter future. So, if you are an animation lover, then you should go see this. Not really for younger kids.
