Runs 112 minutes

Alton Meyer (Jaeden Lieberher) is a special young boy. His father Roy (Michael Shannon) and friend Lucas (Joel Edgerton) are on the run with Alton. They meet up with Alton's mother Sarah (Kirsten Dunst) hoping to keep ahead of the authorities and others who hope to use Alton for their own purposes. You see, Alton has special powers. But, he is just a young boy who is confused and scared. Roy just wants to see his son finally happy. They all work to protect Alton by any means necessary so that he can reach his ultimate destiny.

This is a pretty good movie. The acting is spectacular. It keeps you guessing. But, I felt that the ending was just a little unsatisfying. Still, I would recommend it. It has a mash-up of things going on - special powers, UFO's, cults and government paranoia. It unspools gradually, slowly revealing what is going on with Alton. If you like movies with a slight sci-fi twist, then this might be for you. Go see it.
