Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) is alive. He has been living under an assumed name in Rio trying to leave his past behind but now he is being drawn back into the game. A blast from the past, Crain (Sam Hazeldine), has found Bishop and now wants him to carry out three assassinations. Bishop has other ideas - he doesn't want back in. He heads to Thailand to hide out but Crain sends in a lure - Gina Thornton (Jessica Alba) to force Bishop to do his bidding. It works. Arthur must now make the kills to save the girl. Can Bishop do what he does best then cover his tracks and try to disappear again?

This movie is getting panned by the critics. I can't pan any movie that has Jason Statham in it. Especially one where he takes off his shirt at least half a dozen times, beats up a hundred bad guys and does an awesome swan dive off of a cliff. The scenery, including Jason Statham was pretty spectacular. The plot was lame but the action was constant. I'm glad there were only three kills because the movie did begin to feel a little long (but look on the bright side - more time for Jason to take his shirt off). Jessica Alba is still a pretty bad actress but she looks good in a bikini. And, Tommy Lee Jones got to play a fun character in a small role. If you liked the first Mechanic, then you might like this one. I went to see Jason Statham and I wasn't disappointed and had a fun time. If you are a Statham fan, go see it!
