Runs 111 minutes

Paul Del Moral (Pepe Serna) the Sheriff of a small town outside of San Francisco is driving home in the dense fog one night. He sees a stranded car and stops for a minute. Once he calls it in and heads on his way, BAM he runs over a mysterious stranger. Things become even more mysterious when this stranger disappears from the hospital the next day. Meanwhile, Aki Akahori (Ayako Fujitani) a mystery writer is on tour in San Francisco promoting her best selling detective series. She meets Akira (Kazuki Kitamura - the Japanese Brad Pitt) in her hotel bar and one thing leads to another. However, the next day, he has disappeared and left his suitcase behind in her room. She reports him missing. People start following her and searching her room. Eventually, Aki and Sheriff Moral must work together to figure out if these two missing persons cases are related and what the heck else is going on.

I loved this movie. I don't want to give too much away because half of the fun is just watching it unfold. The movie is being called "ice cold neo-noir perfection!" and "A classic crime-saga face-off". And it is! It is like a hard-boiled detective story, the fog, the mysterious strangers, the small town sheriff. But, it also incorporates Japanese characters and subtitles, so you really have to pay attention. It keeps you on your toes until the end. It is worth every minute. Such a fun night at the movie. If you like a good mystery, this is for you! Go see it!!
