Maggie (Greta Gerwig) can't seem to find the perfect man so she decides to have a baby by herself. She enlists the help of an old schoolmate and current Pickle Entrpreneur Guy (Travis Fimmel) to supply the "goods" for her artificial insemination (and a free bottle of pickles). Then of course, because of a payroll mistake, she meets John (Ethan Hawke) and things click with him. He is an unhappy, married writer and Maggie is happy to read his chapters and feed his ego - something his wife Georgette (Julieanne Moore) fails to do. He leaves his wife and begins a relationship with Maggie. They have a baby and several years pass as Maggie begins to feel less and less relevant in her own life. Her "aha" moment comes when she reaizes that John and Georgette were actually perfectly matched all along and she hatches a plan to reunite them. Craziness ensues. Will anyone end up happy?

This is a cute movie. Lots of chuckles. And, a very satisfying ending. I thought everyone did a nice job, but Julieanne Moore really stood out. She was perfect and funny. There is nothing extremely new or earth-shattering that happens in this film. It is light and fun. A good date movie. Not exactly a romantic comedy but almost. Go see it.
