Runs 91 Minutes

Suzanne (Andie McDowell) and her two sons Nicholas (Chris O'Dowd) and Chris (James Adomian) are thrown for a loop when their husband/father dies a very ugly death. They wander around in a fog, slowly trying to find their footing. Nicholas acts out and is unable to maintain any relationship. Chris just drinks. Suzanne tries to rely on her family for support but they only disappoint her. Especially, when she begins to move forward. Will Suzanne find love again and will her sons be able to handle it when she begins a new life?

This movie was not very entertaining. The scenes were too disjointed. You could never really tell how much time had passed from one scene to another. We started judging time by which girl Nicholas was with but even that was difficult to follow. I know everyone in this film was dealing with the loss of the husband/father but watching them flounder around and act out was uncomfortable. No one was likeable. And, Nicholas was just a whiny middle-aged brat who cheated on every girl he ever dated -  then moved on to the next one. The Husband and I thought this would be a decent film. It was not even average. It started off uncomfortable and never found its footing. Grief is different for everyone and the film was trying to show how these different characters dealt with this big loss in their lives. None of them did a very good job. I would probably skip this one.
